NOTD Chanel & China Glaze

Chanel Nouvelle Vague and China Glaze For Audrey

Nouvelle Vague Has that "hidden shimmer" Chanel polish often has but it doesn't translate on the nail. For Audrey is a bit more aqua and is on my index and pinky fingers, Nouvelle Vague is on my middle and ring fingers.

Haul again...

This is my second Sephora VIB order, a little drugstore, Ulta and a blog sale item. I really went overboard this month, stockpiling I guess!
I'm so obsessed with the YSL glossy stains that I picked up two more: 7 (which is going back, way too orange on me) and 11 which is an amazing berry red!
I'm also trying out two new moisturizers: Yes to Carrots daily facial moisturizer and Rite Aid Renewal daily moisturizer. Also at Rite Aid I grabbed my favorite "over-the-counter" Keratin treatment by Organix.
I used my Ulta 20% off and finally picked up the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Exposed.
And finally, I scored a bottle of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua from Getting Cheeky's blog sale.

Graphite vs. Carbonite

I'm just going to cut to the chase.....in my opinion, they do not compare. What makes Chanel Graphite so special is the sparkle and shine, Revlon Carbonite has **zero** sparkle and shine. They are the same "color", meaning in the dark they look the same but who lives in the dark?!
So, in conclusion (for me) Chanel Graphite is a must have and because it's LE a back up is needed. Stat! Revlon Carbonite is a lovely shade and the formula was great, almost a one coater.

See what I mean? I know I don't need to tell you which is which!

Small weekend haul!

This weekend I set out on a search for the new Revlon polish, Carbonite. It's said to be a good dupe for Chanel Graphite and since I was *thisclose* to buying a backup, I figured I'd give the Revlon a shot.
I first stopped at Ulta. No luck on the Revlon but I picked up: OPI Nice Stems mini's, Pixel polish in Spy Wear and Escada Taj Sunset purse size perfume.

After Ulta I headed to Walgreens. There I picked up: Wet n Wild 2 pack with Grey's Anatomy and a clear coat. I also finally got Essie Fiji and 2 Wet n Wild Palettes: Comfort Zone and Petal Pusher. They didn't have Carbonite but they still had plenty of Black With Envy (Chanel Black Pearl dupe), so if you're still looking for that check a Walgreens!
Finally I stopped at CVS and there was Carbonite! Score!

Chanel Paradoxal and Revlon Perplex

Almost exact dupes!

Paradoxal

Perplex

Paradoxal on thumb and pointer and Perplex on middle, ring and pinky.

In my opinion the Revlon is the tiniest bit darker but more lit from within than the Chanel. I actually think I might like the Revlon better!
Bottom line, if you love the look of Paradoxal save yourself some money and buy the Revlon.

Hydrangea

It's one of my favorite flowers and today I realized some of the Fall polish colors I'm reaching for are very much "hydrangea-esque".

Essie Merino Cool, Chanel Paradoxal, Essie Demure Vixen, Chanel Khaki Vert and Essie Sew Psyched.
